Construction of daycare facility for children „Triangel“ in Frankenberg / Saxony
STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING
The daycare centre consists of two L-shaped two-storey wings and a central entrance area. The structure has been built as massive construction. The roof construction of the wings is based on a purlin roof. The entrance area has a roof plate being 10 % sloped. The ceiling above the ground level is a ferroconcrete plate in all building parts. All ceilings are produced monolithically as well as via semi prefab segments (filigree ceilings). The bearing walls of the wings were built as brick walls, those of the central entrance part are made of ferroconcrete. The cubic rigidity is realized with braced shear walls and top panels. These are used in adequate quantities. The top edges of the walls are braced with ring walls. These also absorb the roof load. The foundation is realized via strip footing only.
