DESIGN OF OPEN LANDSCAPES

The design of the open area included the creation of a playing area close to nature for 36 children from day nursery and 54 children attending nursery school. The garden area was separated into an area for the day nursery and the nursery school by a low hornbeam hedge with an integrated fence preventing the passing through of children. The outdoor area (playing ground) is situated in South-West direction and covers a total area of 1.600 m². The day-care facility is enclosed by a fence. In the area of the neighbouring retirement home’s garden, a hornbeam hedge was installed including a fence up to the height of the retirement home’s pergola. The new building structure offers protection from the immediately adjacent traffic area. Directly at the Parkstraße, the necessary waste container area is situated and parking areas for parents, guests as well as employees can be found in sufficient number along the same road. The design of the open landscape included the creation of a day-care facility for children with gardening, the establishment of an area for waste containers, the path construction within the garden area, the installation of outdoor plant areas in advance of the new construction, the creation of surface water drainage as well as the construction of paths connecting the day-care facility with the August-Bebel-Straße and the Parkstraße.
