The new built regional logistic centre of the supermarket chain EDEKA is located directly next to the Motorway A4 between Chemnitz and Dresden. From this logistics centre with its partly fully automated, partly semi-automated highly ergonomic working methods local EDEKA chain stores are supplied with the complete assortment of goods. The logistics centre houses the dry and the cool food storage, empties storage, cardboard packaging and workshops as well as administrative and social buildings including a kitchen, canteen and a porter building. All necessary traffic facilities, such as ramps, parking spaces for trucks and cars, a gas station and car wash station have been part of the construction project.
