Technical Assistance for Management and Supervision ISPA Contracts in the Solid Waste Sector in Arges, Romania - EuropeAid/122694/D/SER/RO
The county of Arges, Romania, is in great needs of investment concerning its solid waste management infrastructure. Waste treatment plants that cope with EU standards did not exist. The existing waste gathering and landfilling systems were obsolete and ailing. The requirement of modernization as well included the compliance with the current EU legislation. The implementation had to comply with EU quality standards.
The goal of the project was the technical assistance for the development of an integrated solid waste management system as well as the necessary measures for the application for financial resources for the implementation at the European Commission. Moreover, part of the goal was the technical assistance for the realization of first infrastructure measures for the solid waste management.
