The shell construction has been completed. On Thursday, 24th May 2018, the Housing Association “Einheit” eG Chemnitz, the client, celebrated the topping-out ceremony of the condominium complex Freiraum² in the attractive district of Altchemnitz in Chemnitz with numerous guests and craftsmen. Two identical, 5-storey buildings with a total of 40 apartments with living areas between 108-123 m² are being constructed. At each entrance to the building, a lift with a wheelchair-accessible sized cabin is being built from the basement to the 4th floor. The design for heating of the apartments envisages a floor heating with room-by-room regulation. In addition, bathroom radiators are provided in the bathrooms and guest bathrooms. All bathrooms and guest bathrooms have exhaust air systems for the humidityprotection via roof fans with adjustable exhaust air valves. A user-independent basic and intensive ventilation in the apartments is ensured at all times via these exhaust air systems. The first apartment owners will move in autumn 2018.
