With the ground-breaking ceremony on 19.09.2017, the municipality Amtsberg located in the Ore Mountains is Germany's pioneer regarding the broadband development sponsored by the Federal Government and the Free State of Saxony.
By the end of next year, 98% of the community will have fast internet at its disposal. In the coming months, approx. 350 km of cable - of which 49 km are situated under paved roads and sidewalks - will be laid.
